'A second chance to hear! An emotional day'

The singer wrote on Facebook and Twitter that Jordan underwent a cochlear implant this morning. The operation involves having an electronic device was surgically implanted into the ear, to help people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Jordan was just four years old when he started complaining that he couldn’t hear probably. Doctors discovered he had 35 % hearing in the one ear and 40 % in the other.

"This morning, Jordan is going in for a cochlea implant. We are so proud of him!!! A second chance to hear! An emotional day," Amor wrote on her Facebook page.

Later the day she also informed her fans that the surgical procedure went well.

"The operation went extremely well. Success!!!! Thank you dr. Mol. I'm so proud of my beautiful boy," she wrote.
