Josh Duhamel laughs about his infant son’s “defiant” behaviour.
The 41-year-old Safe Haven star shares 13-month-old Axl with his wife, singer Fergie. In a recent paparazzi photo Axl was captured flipping his middle finger off to photographers and when presented with the image on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Josh had a giggle about his son’s emerging personality. “He just turned one! He's like, 'I love the paparazzi!'” he laughed to Ellen during an episode airing Tuesday.

“He likes to stick his fingers in holes like my nose. He loves to pick my nose. He’s also defiant, you know, they get to a certain age and then they start to test you a little bit. And so he’ll stick his finger up my nose I’ll be like, ‘No, you don’t do that!’ and I stick [my finger] up his nose and he thinks it’s funny, but it’s actually disgusting.”
Josh thinks he and Fergie are adapting well to the challenges of parenthood.
The actor is deeply impressed with how the Black Eyed Peas songstress is caring for their first child, considering she had very little experience with babies before giving birth to Axl.
“Well in the beginning it was me [changing diapers], but she’s really improved her diaper-changing skills over the last year, it’s very impressive,” Josh smiled. “She’s as good at it as I am now. I had two younger sisters, so I had a lot of practice growing up. She had never held a baby before we had our little guy. Now she’s a professional. I don't think she had really ever held a baby, especially a baby brand-new, before we had ours."
Josh and Fergie (39) married in 2009 after dating for five years.
