Nissan has added a diesel derivative to its Juke range.

The new Nissan Juke 1,5 dCi Acenta+ has arrived hot on the trail of the recently-introduced JUKE CVT automatic and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) models, expanding the line-up to seven derivatives.

Its 1,5-litre common rail turbocharged diesel engine produces 81 kW at 4 000 r/min and 260 Nm of torque from just 1 500 r/min. Nissan claims an average fuel consumption figure of just 4,2 litres per 100 km, with carbon emissions of just 109 g/km. The diesel Juke’s engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, keyless entry and a start/stop button, an immobiliser, electrically adjustable and folding door mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, electric windows all round, privacy glass in the rear, a multifunction leather-bound steering wheel, Bluetooth for hands-free telephony and audio streaming, a four-speaker audio system with USB and iPod integration, and cruise control.

Safety wise the Juke features ABS brakes and six airbags.

Since the Juke’s launch late in 2011 Nissan has sold more than 8 500 units in South Africa.
