Juliette Binoche knew Kristen Stewart from her daughter's posters

Juliette Binoche first saw Kristen Stewart on the walls of her daughter's room. The French actress stars alongside Kristen in upcoming movie Clouds of Sils Maria and the pair have shot a stunning editorial with German magazine Interview.

'I have to admit that the first time I ever saw you was on my daughter's walls'

The front cover sees Juliette smouldering at the camera, while Kristen leans in to her. Both women wear smoky eye make-up and have wet, tangled hair. In the accompanying article Juliette admits she searched the star online before filming began.

"Of course I Googled you. Why? I needed to know whom I am supposed to meet and play with. I did watch some interviews of yours and instantly decided that I like you," Juliette divulged to the publication.

"I also watched On the Road – and skipped Twilight. Although I have to admit that the first time I ever saw you was on my daughter's walls. I remember walking into her room thinking: so what the hell is this about?”

The movie also stars Chloë Grace Moretz and is about an actress who is asked to star in a revival of the play that made her famous. But instead of taking on the lead role, she's assigned the part of the older character.

While Juliette has been in the film industry for more than 30 years, she believes Kristen has the edge when it comes to working the media.

"Kristen knows more about the details of being a star than I do because she's really in the world of paparazzi," Juliette recently told The Wall Street Journal.

"There are little things - like how your personal assistant has to check to see if everything is OK before you get out of the car for a big event. You always keep the doors locked in case, or your dress is totally open."
