Kate Hudson isn't worried about getting older.
The 34-year-old actress, who has two sons, Ryder (9) with her ex-husband, The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson (46), and Bingham (2) with her fiancé, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy (35), doesn't think her age will affect her career because she has no plans to retire from Hollywood, even if she’s offered roles only in smaller films.
In an interview for the November issue of US Shape magazine, the blonde beauty says, “Not at all. In fact, I’m finding that the parts are more interesting as I get older, which is great because I’m planning to do it for the rest of my life.”
The Reluctant Fundamentalist star credits her mother, 67-year-old actress Goldie Hawn’s, long-term partner, actor Kurt Russell (62), for helping her realise there’s more to acting than being a celebrity.
“I remember Kurt asking me when I was younger, ‘Why are you choosing to act? Because if you’re doing it for stardom it’s a very small window. If you’re choosing it because you love it you’re in the right profession.’ And that’s true of any career, actually,” Kate says.
Work aside, Kate claims her perfect day would include lots of exercise and revealed she’s been taking dance classes with Derek Hough, who’s a choreographer on US reality competition series Dancing with the Stars.
She added, “I’d sleep in for an extra three hours and hope my kids let me. Next, I’d work out and take a sauna. Then I’d probably want to get in the pool with the kids. After that I’d read, followed by watching Downton Abbey while eating a big bag of [snack food] Pirate’s Booty. That would be my perfect day.” Bang! Showbizz Share your thoughts:
