Kelly and Brandon planning a family

accreditation

Kelly Clarkson wants to start a family with her fiancé.

The Catch My Breath singer is engaged to Brandon Blackstock and although the couple live together with his two children, the star has revealed they want to have kids of their own.

She told People magazine, "We live together. We have a house together. We have the two kids who live with us. We're already kind of a family. But I think that it just kind of puts it in place.

"When you get married it's, like, official. You're starting a family and we want to have more children, so we're just excited. I guess that's the best part; it's a new kind of chapter in my life."

The couple recently announced their plans to elope for their wedding, trading in their elaborate plans for an intimate ceremony with only the music manager's children in attendance.

Kelly previously explained, "We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were, like, 'So, we change our minds and we want to elope.' We just got so overwhelmed by it ? all the decisions.

"We sent out a save-the-date [note] to everyone and then it got crazy and all the details were leaking. Then, honestly, the planning . . . I have a Christmas record coming out. I'm doing a bunch of stuff with [US financial services company] State Farm right now.

"We have two kids who just started school. We're going to all these football games and soccer games and volleyball games and Brandon [manages] one of the biggest artists [Blake Shelton] in country music. He's flying everywhere."
