The former American Idol winner, who has struggled through both her pregnancies, has revealed she urged Brandon Blackstock, the stepson of country singer Reba McEntire, to have 'the snip' before the birth of their second child, son Remington, earlier this year.

"I was literally pregnant with Remi, and I was like, 'You are getting fixed'," the singer told Jenny McCarthy on American radio station SiriusXM. "This will never happen to me again. If something happens, it's a miracle of God. I literally told my OB/GYN (Obstetrician and Gynaecologist) on the (delivery) table while open, 'If I get pregnant again, I will find you!'"

And the singer, 34, insists she's not joking, telling TV news show Entertainment Tonight, "The shop is closed. Things have been taken out, so that cannot happen. We're done."

In her candid chat with McCarthy, the mum-of-two also revealed a thyroid problem may have led to her struggles to produce breast milk.

"I actually pumped like crazy, like, 40 ounces a day," she said. "Then I just went dry on both pregnancies. For, like, three or four weeks straight, I was crazy. I was like, 'I'm a rock star!'"

Now she's shut down a third pregnancy, Kelly plans to focus more on raising her kids, revealing motherhood has made her feel empowered: "It's so cheesy, (but) I feel way more confident, way more empowered, way more like, 'I've got this!'"

The Since U Been Gone singer is also a stepmum to Blackstock's two kids from a previous marriage.
