Singer Kelly Clarkson would rather die than get pregnant again.

The Since U Been Gone star has given birth twice and suffered through both pregnancies, and so before she gave birth to her son earlier this year, she urged her husband to have a vasectomy - and she has since taken measures to make sure she can't have any more kids.

"Everyone's like, 'Oh, you're getting your tubes tied...' No, they're gone," she told Access Hollywood Live on Monday. "My husband, like, while I was pregnant we agreed that he was going to get snipped...

"We have magical babies together... They're amazing, but I have the worst pregnancies. I would die if I had to do it again. It was horrible."

And she's not just complaining about morning sickness, fatigue and back pain - she really did struggle to become a mum.

"Nausea is for weak people," she scoffs. "It was, like, hospitalisation. It's, like, bad. I had the worst pregnancies ever. I would end up in the hospital, dehydrated. People had to come to our house and I'd be on fluids."

But she insists she has no regrets about her babies, adding, "Apparently that's what it takes to make amazing babies, because they're both stellar. We've made them and it's done."

She first made the big reveal about her husband, Brandon Blackstock's, vasectomy last week (ends07Oct16), telling Jenny McCarthy on American radio station SiriusXM, "This will never happen to me again. If something happens, it's a miracle of God. I literally told my OB/GYN (Obstetrician and Gynaecologist) on the (delivery) table while open, 'If I get pregnant again, I will find you!'"

She added, "The shop is closed. Things have been taken out, so that cannot happen. We're done."

As well as son Remi and daughter River, two, Kelly is also stepmother to Blackstock's two kids from a previous marriage.
