Kelly Khumalo's friends have reportedly been getting strange messages asking for money from her cell phone -- the same phone that was reportedly taken by police on the night of boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa's murder.
“Pay Police plz,” one message is said to have read. “Plz call Detective Sello on 076 494 3030 bribe him please.”
Kelly's good friends, Melinda Ferguson, Arthur Mafokate and singer Wanda Baloyi are said to have been among those targeted.
Senzo was shot and killed Kelly's family’s home in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, on Sunday night. Police have offered a reward of R250 000 for any information leading to the killers’ arrest.
The Star newspaper reported earlier today that Senzo died in Kelly's arms. The singer poured her heart out to her biographer Melinda Ferguson about the shooting, according to the report.
“I saw him die in my arms. His lips turned blue, and he took a deep breath. It was not easy watching the man you love die,” Khumalo was quoted as saying.
