Kelly Osbourne is approaching her “angry phase” as she grieves for Joan Rivers. The 30-year-old was extremely close to the late comedienne, who died following complications from a routine medical procedure in September. The pair worked together on E!’s Fashion Police for a number of years and it was recently confirmed the show would be back. The news has led to Kelly being repeatedly asked about Joan’s replacement, which she is finding hard to take.
' It's something, to be honest with you, I really don't like talking about because I haven't been able to mourn and grieve the way that I want to'
“I can't lie and say that I'm amazing. It's something, to be honest with you, I really don't like talking about because I haven't been able to mourn and grieve the way that I want to," she said during an appearance on the Today show. "Not one person that I have seen or walked up to me or spoken to since the day she passed has… the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, 'Who's replacing Joan?' "
The late comic’s daughter Melissa, who serves as an executive producer, has given her permission for the show to go back on air in January. While Kelly is set to return to the production, she is still battling different emotions as she goes through the grieving process.
"I have started to get to my angry phase," she admitted. "So, it's not been fun."
Host Al Roker then suggested that the formidable presenter was irreplaceable and it led the fashion designer to tear up.
"Can we please move on so I don't cry on morning TV?" she asked.
