Kelly Osbourne says the “situation f**king sucks” ahead of her return to Fashion Police. The Osbournes star will be filming the new series in January. However, things have drastically changed following the death of co-host Joan Rivers in September. Now Kathy Griffin will be taking the chair vacated by much-loved comedienne Joan, and Kelly is feeling nervous about the prospect.
'Change isn't fun, but it has to happen. This situation f**king sucks'
“I'm excited but terrified at the same time," Kelly told Us Weekly. "Change isn't fun, but it has to happen. This situation f**king sucks."
Kelly first began filming Fashion Police with Joan in 2011.
Other changes on the show include George Kotsiopoulos being replaced by stylist Brad Goreski. Giuliana Rancic will be returning to the show when it starts filming again next year.
Following the announcement that Kathy would be taking on the role left behind by Joan, the comedienne has been targeted by fans on social networks.
“People are tweeting Kathy things like ‘you will never be Joan,’” a friend of Kathy’s told RadarOnline.com.
“She is also hearing that she has no sense of fashion. But she doesn’t have to! She has an eye for what’s hot and Kathy is sarcastic and honest — just like Joan.”
Kathy previously revealed that Joan had given her blessing for her close friend to take on her role when she passed.
“Joan and I talked about it many times, and she joked that no matter what, I should always get 10 per cent less than she got," Kathy mused.
And of her fashion expertise, Kathy added: “I've been a fashion 'don't' for years! I used to laminate my 'What was she thinking?' pictures and put them on my refrigerator, but then they covered the entire wall.
“I'm not afraid to be a do or a don't; I'm not afraid of a wrong moment, because that's what fashion should be. Take some chances!" she insisted.
