Kendra Wilkinson: Hank deserves sympathy

accreditation

Kendra Wilkinson wishes the public would show Hank Baskett more “sympathy”. The reality star split from the former NFL player after allegations surfaced he had an affair with transgender model Ava London. But Kendra thinks it’s unfair how her estranged husband has been depicted in the press.

'He does deserve sympathy. He's not a bad guy. He's a very amazing person who was trapped in a very bad situation'

“He was never a douchebag," the Kendra on Top star told E! Online. "He was never an a*shole. He's always been the most perfect man on earth.

"Now, he's Superman without the cape. He needs a lot of work. That's the issue. People looked at him like he was Superman and he probably made one little mistake and now the whole world sees this bad image and I hate that. It's so sad. He does deserve sympathy. He's not a bad guy. He's a very amazing person who was trapped in a very bad situation."

Kendra shares four-year-old son Hank Jr and five-month-old daughter Alijah with her other half.

The former Playboy playmate admits she came close to filing for divorce, but the 29-year-old confesses it is difficult right now to make a final decision on whether to end her marriage with Hank Sr.

“What if there is more that comes out? I can't sit here and say I'm going to stay with him and then tomorrow another story comes out. What if this is another Tiger Woods situation?" she mused.

"This has come out of nowhere. It's like I'm living a nightmare. It's so unreal…I can't even wake up from it. Is this really Hank? Is this situation really about Hank?

"I'm not the type of person to flip a switch and just shut my love for Hank off. I love him so much. That's why I'm in so much pain."

Kendra and Hank Sr tied the knot in 2009.
