A Kenilworth woman is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court after she was arrested while she was allegedly paying a hitman to kill her husband.

Petina Coetzee (44) was arrested during a sting operation while allegedly handing an undisclosed amount of cash to a man in the parking lot of the Lansdowne railway station, Captain FC van Wyk said.

She was arrested on Tuesday morning.

Detectives and members of the Manenberg serious and violent crimes investigation unit received information that she was allegedly conspiring to commit murder.
