The 47-year-old actress is mother to four children. She has adopted kids Isabella (21) and 19-year-old Connor with her ex-husband Tom Cruise and daughters Sunday Rose (6), and three-year-old Faith Margaret with her spouse Keith Urban. Although Nicole and Keith are thrilled to have two little girls, she can't help wishing they could add to their brood.
"I hope every month I am pregnant but I never am," she told Australian radio show KIIS 1065. "I would be jumping for joy, but it won't happen I’m 47... I’m baby crazy. I love babies… kids."
The star then admitted she still has hope, as her grandma's last child was born when she was 49. Nicole has made no secret of her fertility struggles. Faith Margaret was born using a surrogate, with the star previously explaining she has been through miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy in the past.
Nicole and Keith are both busy, but they know how important it is to spend time together as a family. For that reason they have a rule not to go longer than seven days without seeing each other.
The actress is currently coming to terms with the loss of her father Anthony, who passed away last month from a heart attack. When she brushed on the topic during the interview, Nicole got emotional and DJs Kyle and Jackie O were forced to take a break.
"He was an amazing man. We have the tightest family, we really do," Nicole said, before becoming upset.
She later thanked fans for their support and said the experience had shown her how important it is to be there for people who are grieving.
"I have to say, so many people did reach out, it's the greatest thing," she explained.
"I used to be like, 'Oh I don't want to intrude, it's awkward,' and now having been on the other side of it, it's so beautiful when people do it... card or call or anything, it really does [mean a lot]."
