The 27-year-old singer filed legal documents this week, asking a judge to seal certain information and records pertaining to a lawsuit between two of the people who discovered her.
The 'Born This Way' hitmaker's former best friend and collaborator Wendy Starland sued Lady Gaga's former producer Rob Fusari in 2010, claiming he cheated her out of money she feels she is owed for helping to discover the outspoken blonde star in New York.
Wendy claims she landed Lady Gaga a production deal with Rob that resulted in her signing a deal with a major label record, as well as publishing deals for her lyrics.
Lady Gaga claims that the lawsuit contains information that is "sensitive, private, and personal" and believes if it went public, it would "inflict significant personal and professional harm upon" her, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
The 'Judas' singer also stated that she and Rob are legally bound to keep the information private as part of a previous non-disparagement agreement between them.
A judge has yet to rule on whether the information will be sealed.
