Lady Gaga claims she is "completely aghast" at her former assistant's lawsuit against her.
The Applause singer is being sued by her ex-best friend Jennifer O'Neill, who claims the singer owes her $380 000 (R3,8 million) in overtime payments because she had to spend 24 hours a day with her and share the same bed during The Monster Ball tour in 2010.
The 27-year-old star has submitted a 200-page witness statement, obtained by the Mail on Sunday newspaper, to give her side of the story, in which she explains she rewards her hardworking staff with perks rather than overtime pay.
She said, "I am quite wonderful to everyone that works for me. I am going to tell you exactly what ******* happened, so that the judge can read on this transcript exactly what's going on, which is my ex-best friend is a ******* hood rat who is suing me for money that she didn't earn. The job was essentially a favour, and Jennifer was majorly unqualified for it."
Lady Gaga also claims personal assistants in the entertainment industry are rarely paid overtime.
Jennifer previously testified she felt it was a "required" part of her job to sleep with her employer.
She said, "I was by her side virtually 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That includes sleeping in the same bed with her. Because she did not sleep alone."
