Lindsay Lohan is apparently “determined to prove everyone wrong”. The 28-year-old star has almost finished a stint in the London theatre production of Speed-the-Plow, following a few years of turmoil in her professional and personal life. And now she’s ready to make a real comeback.
'She’s tired of being a big old joke and is determined to prove everyone wrong'
“She is so confident that this time she can turn things around,” an insider told OK! Magazine. “She’s tired of being a big old joke and is determined to prove everyone wrong.”
She played a leading role in the David Mamet play, and thus far has received mostly positive reviews for her professionalism and skill. Now, she’s reportedly planning to turn this into a “real” return to success.
According to the source, her stage role “was a huge boost” for Lindsay, leaving her feeling “invincible”. And her family is also pleased with her progress.
“Everyone’s so proud of her and all her friends and family think that finally this time she’ll make all her dreams come true,” said the insider.
But she’s not alone in her quest to get back on track. It is thought that Ellen DeGeneres has a “rescue plan” to help the Mean Girls star bring her career back up to scratch.
Of this new purported development, Lindsay is said to be “on a high of excitement”.
“Ellen spoke at length to Portia [de Rossi] about helping her out,” according to the same source. “She was thrilled to hear from LiLo and the pair have already spoken several times about new projects.”
The talk show host apparently considers Lindsay to be a “natural comedienne”.
On top of this, Lindsay supposedly also wants to continue her education. She completed her high school diploma via homeschooling, but now she’s eager to track back and do it online.
“This is no joke. She wants that diploma and hates being called a drop-out,” said the insider. “She was very good at math and science at school and she wishes she’d finished.”
