Popular South African music duo Locnville are furious after being assaulted allegedly by police at a filling station in Claremont, Cape Town, Eyewitness News reported.

Andrew Chaplin claims he and his twin brother Brian were walking there with a friend in the early hours of Thursday morning when they were insulted by another group of people who did not like their music.

The musician admitted they had all been drinking but claimed that what happened next was unprovoked. “Someone said something really inappropriate to us as people but for some reason the police followed us and stopped us in the middle of the road and attacked us. I cannot stand for that,” said Chaplin.

Chaplin claimed police officers pepper sprayed his twin and broke his friend's nose.
