"Please come over! June is trying to kill herself!” he is said to have pleaded with her.
“I wanted to do the right thing, so I went over," Patricia said. "She was upset about something and had taken an overdose of Tylenol or Advil. We called poison control, and I talked to her to try and keep her awake.”
Fortunately, it worked. June recovered and gave birth to future pageant star Alana "Honey Boo Boo" a few months later.
This report comes in the wake of news that Mama June is supposedly dating her ex-boyfriend Mark McDaniel again, who was convicted of sexually abusing June's daughter Anna "Chickadee" Cardell when Anna was 8 years old. June has denied reports, but the reality series was cancelled as a result.
In the interview with the magazine, Patricia also revealed that Mama June and Sugar Bear had started their relationship while she and Sugar Bear were still married. She discovered her husband's infidelity with a phone call from June herself.
“She told me, ‘My name is June Shannon, and I’ve been sleeping with Michael. I know he’s your husband— but he’s mine now!'” East says. “I found out later that she’d also been pregnant by Michael while we were still married, but she lost the baby.”
