A Chinese man tried to board a plane with a turtle hidden in a burger.
The guy ? know only as Li ? was stopped at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China when security staff spotted suspicious protrusions from his KFC hamburger while his baggage went through the X-ray machine, the Guangzhou Daily newspaper reported.
Workers believed the odd-shaped snack might have a turtle inside but Li insisted there was nothing untoward about the tasty treat.
But staff eventually discovered his pet, and he confessed he put the little guy in his luggage because he was desperate to travel with his "beloved" turtle.
One of Li's friends then agreed to take care of the animal while he was away.
