Mark Boucher (34) is regarded as one of the world’s best wicketkeepers and has several records to his name to prove it. Now, after time away from international cricket, he’s been called up again to play for the Proteas.
Last year he had to make way for the younger AB de Villiers (27) in the one-day international (ODI) squad and earlier this year he was left out of the Proteas’ World Cup squad.
But when AB fractured a bone in his left hand and was out of action for six weeks Mark was selected for the ODI match series against Australia, the world’s top one-day team at the moment.
