Miley Cyrus 'copes with pain by partying'

Miley Cyrus is apparently "trying to party away the pain" of her split with Liam Hemsworth.

The Wrecking Ball singer was photographed arriving at the Alexander Wang Fashion Week party in New York recently, topless with just ice cream nipple pasties covering her modesty. It's been claimed it was to get the attention of ex-boyfriend Liam, after Miley told Australian TV that the pair still loved each other. However her efforts have reportedly fallen on deaf ears, as the 24-year-old Australian won't answer any of her calls or texts, according to British magazine Heat. "Now Miley feels like she's made a fool of herself, and is trying to party away the pain," the source continued to the publication. "She'll go for three days straight without any proper rest, and her friends can barely keep up. She's out of control - drinking and smoking constantly."

The insider believes the 21-year-old's problem is that she never fully accepted that things were over between her and The Hunger Games actor. The couple were engaged for a year of their three-year on/off relationship until September 2013, when they called it off.

During a recent appearance on Australian show Sunday Night, the singer spoke about her former flame.

"I love Liam and he loves me," she said.

But despite her public comments, there's no sign of reconciliation between the pair.

"It's like she thinks that the more outrageously she behaves, the more she thinks Liam will get in touch," the source added. "But he just isn't interested. It's a heartbreaking time for Miley."
