Miley Cyrus claims she’s too mature to hang out with 19-year-old Justin Bieber.
The 20-year-old singer is worried the Never Say Never hitmaker may find her advice condescending due to her tendency to "mentor" him, but she insists her lengthy career in the entertainment industry makes her much wiser than him, and he still has a lot of growing up to do.
When asked if she’s friends with Justin, Miley said, "A little bit, but not really. I'm not much older than him, so I never want it to feel like I'm mentoring him. But I do mentor him in a way. Because I've been doing this s**t for a long time."
Miley has been trying to shed her former Hannah Montana image and revealed she fired her management team ahead of making her Bangerz album because she feared they’d be disapproving of her new raunchy persona.
In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, she explained, "I basically cut off all ties. I got rid of my manager, but I feel like [my recent evolution] would have scared them. I just don't think they would have had as much faith in what I'm doing."
Miley has since hired Britney Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, but insists she won't have any more adults telling her what to do.
