
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have sold their home in New Orleans for $4,9 million (R67,7 million).
Angelina shocked Hollywood when she filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who share six children, had been together since 2005, and married in 2014.

And Brad and Angelina have now sold their luxurious three-storey home in the French Quarter of the Louisiana city, according to documents filed with the Land Records Division of the Orleans Parish Civil Clerk of Court's office.

Listing agent Nina Killeen confirmed the sale of the five-bedroom, 1830s-era mansion closed on Friday 28 October, saying, "It sold for a very fair price. It's a good deal for both parties. They're happy with the outcome."
Brad and Angelina bought the property in 2007 for $3.5 million (R48,4 million) after the Ocean’s Eleven actor established the Make It Right Foundation to fuel development of new housing in the city's Lower Ninth Ward neighbourhood following 2005’s devastating Hurricane Katrina.

It seems that the New Orleans property may not be the only Jolie-Pitt home up for sale. The couple has allegedly agreed to part with Chateau Miraval, their country estate in the south of France, Us Weekly reports.
The 1,200-acre property, which includes a vineyard, was purchased by Brad and Angelina for $60 million back in 2012.
The former couple also own a sprawling 5,300-square-foot home in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighbourhood and an apartment in New York City's Waldorf Astoria Towers.
