Oscar Pistorius judgement: the court of public opinion

Judgment day has arrived for Oscar Pistorius.

So far the Judge Thokozile Masipa has ruled out pre-meditated murder and murder with intent through dolus eventualis.

The court of public opinion is in two minds about Judge Masipa's rulings so far and will all wait with baited breath for the final ruling regarding culpable homicide.

Some believe the judgement thus far has been fair:

While others believe that the reasonable person should have known that shooting through the bathroom door would have killed someone.

Many believe that Oscar's money has helped him today.   Race has also come to play in the conversation around the Oscar trial. No matter what the public believes however, only Judge Masipa has the final word.  Court is currently adjourned for early lunch and the public, Oscar and Reeva Steenkamp's family will once again listen intently to find out what Oscar's fate is.
