In less than two weeks, our Miss South Africa goes head to head with beauties from all over the world for the sought after Miss World title.
Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, known as Ntando, will hold SA’s name high at the event which takes place on 18 December close to Washington in the US state of Maryland.
“Without fail my parents have always made a way to be there through my ups and downs," the 24-year-old beauty wrote on Facebook alongside a picture of her and her parents.
"I am delighted that they will be joining me in Washington."
She’s also carrying the yellow JJ Schoeman evening gown that she is wearing as her official formal outfit for the pageant.

Ntando’s roommate at the pageant is Karla De Beer of New Zeland. Karla was born in Pretoria and immigrated to New Zealand with her family when she was 11-years-old. She was crowned her countries most beautiful in June this year.
The participants need to compete in a number of challenges to try and secure a place in the top 20. They are awarded points for each challenge and the winner of the Miss Talent competition automatically gets a place in the top 20.
We’re holding thumbs, Ntando!
