Paris Hilton is "excited" to relaunch her pop career.

The hotel heiress is having another attempt at stardom following her 2006 single, Stars Are Blind, and revealed she’s anxious to release her new single and video, Good Time, featuring rapper Lil Wayne.

Paris ? who recently finished a DJ residency at Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza over the summer ? told MTV News, "I love being in the studio. Music has always been a huge passion of mine, so to be having my new single out with Lil Wayne, it's just such an honour, and I'm so excited for the world to hear it."

"I've been recording this album for about a year and a half now. After being in Ibiza I was so inspired; I met so many amazing DJs and producers, so people kept sending me different songs making this album and I'm so proud of it."

The socialite also revealed how she struck up an unlikely business relationship with Cash Money records CEO Birdman, who offered her a record deal after she appeared in his music video Tapout earlier this year.

Paris explained, "We ended up meeting up after the video and I played him some of my songs and he loved them and [we] signed a deal together. It's so exciting. I love working with him. He's so smart and so creative and inspiring and I just look up to him so much as a businessman and what he's created, and I think it's perfect to be part of the Cash Money family."

Speaking of her fellow Cash Money label mates ? rappers Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj ? she said, "They've been so supportive and amazing. I love working with everybody. Everyone's just very hardworking and very passionate, and it's fun to be working with really cool people who I really respect."
