Paris Hilton takes action over stalker

Paris Hilton and her family have taken action against an alleged stalker. An individual has reportedly been making death threats and anti-Semitic comments to the wealthy hotel owners via social media. And now the 33-year-old heiress has confirmed the police are involved.

'It's a frightening and scary experience for anyone'

"We recently filed a police report because the threats were getting out of control, getting more frequent and more intensive each time," Paris told Entertainment Tonight.

Mistakenly believing the Hiltons were Jewish, they apparently hurled comments at them specifically targeting the religion. The case is now in the hands of the Los Angeles Police Department, who will investigate the incidents to date.

"It's a frightening and scary experience for anyone and so we decided to take steps to protect our family," Paris explained. "Hopefully now the authorities are aware they can help put an end to this."

The alleged stalker had written numerous posts on Facebook directed at the family. TMZ first reported the claim, outlining a number of the threats.

The notes included the following: “I know ur Jew family gives nothing”, and “KILL JEWS FOR FUN (sic)”.

Paris was raised a Roman Catholic. The harasser did not stop there, however.

Two notes were written directly to her father Rick Hilton, saying: “one month and she's dead, she's never coming home (sic)”, and “I'll beat u and that bitch to unconscious (sic).”

This isn’t a first for Paris, who has received death threats in the past. When she was sentenced to 45 days in jail back in May 2007, her inmates apparently sent her numerous messages outlining an intent to harm her.
