The Fast & Furious star passed away November 30, 2013 in a fiery car crash in Valencia, California, unrelated to the film. He was 40. With less than a week until the one-year anniversary this Sunday, Paul's brother, Cody Walker, spoke to E! News to reflect on his late sibling's life. Cody specifically championed Paul's philanthropic efforts, as the founder of disaster relief non-profit Reach Out Worldwide.
‘I know he would be so stoked to know that ROWW changed his life, and he was so proud of it.’
"ROWW continues to be, to function, to help others even after our primary contributor, my brother, Paul Walker has passed," Cody shared. "I know he would be so stoked to know that ROWW changed his life, and he was so proud of it."
Cody revealed that since Paul's death, ROWW has led a medical mission in the Philippines following Typhoon Haiyan, and sent volunteers to Mayflower, Arkansas to aid locals after a tornado struck the region.
"These missions are truly life changing for all involved. I'm so proud to be a part of this," Cody said, revealing his brother taught him to live "life to the fullest".
"Laugh a lot, love and find your true happiness," he said, thanking those who have offered words of support over the last 12 months.
"This year has been very challenging but also extremely rewarding. ROWW would like to thank all of our supporters who have gotten us through this very difficult year," Cody continued. "Thanks to you, Paul's legacy lives on through ROWW... I am so lucky to have had him as a big brother."
Paul was on a break from filming the latest instalment of Fast & Furious at the time of his death.
Furious 7, which will feature the actor, is scheduled for release next April.
