Penélope Cruz is reliving her childhood thanks to her kids.
The 40-year-old star is married to fellow actor Javier Bardem and together they have three-year-old Leonardo and Luna, 14 months. Ever since she welcomed her brood, things have changed for the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star. "From the moment I became a mother, my whole attitude changed," she marvelled to the German Tele 5 channel.

"Suddenly I saw the world with different eyes and came to thinking about my own childhood.
"From the very first second, you experience this love you've never known before. And it's this love that changes you in a matter of seconds."
But while many celebrity parents are happy for their families to share the spotlight, things are different for Penélope and Javier. They've always been fiercely private when it comes to their kids.
"Children are not accessories. Just because the father of my kids and I have decided to take this career path, it doesn't give anyone the right to invade our private lives," she argued.
A lack of privacy isn't the only issue Hollywood stars contend with. Particularly actresses are often quizzed about the lack of roles for older females, but Penélope isn't worried.
"I don't care about that kind of thing," she shrugged. "The only thing that counts for me, is my health. It's nice to be older and wiser."
Next up, the star can be seen in comedy Grimsby, which also features Isla Fisher and Annabelle Wallis. She has a strange way of getting a feel for a new part.
"With any character, I have to find the right shoes first," she laughed.
"I think shoes say a lot about somebody... And if I don't find the right ones, I can't identify with them. Weird, right?"
