People are furious Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show wearing wings

The young models Gigi Hadid (21) and Kendall Jenner (21), Kim Kardashian’s half-sister, were given the honour this year after appearing in the show for the first time last year.

This after many other models had to participate in the show for years before they were allowed to wear angel wings as part of their costume. The wings are something of a token of a models seniority at Victoria’s Secret – and the larger the wings, the more important model.

Great was the disappointment after Gigi and Kendall received angel wings while other models like Martha Hunt have walked the runway for the lingerie brand for four years and still hasn’t received her ‘wings’. Kendall’s wings were also reportedly larger than that of veteran Angel, Adriana Lima, which caused uproar amongst fans.

To make matters worse Kendall and Gigi are not full-time Victoria’s Secret’s Angels and were only invited to be a part of the show, while other models who work full-time for the company and star in campaigns year round still haven’t had the honour bestowed on them.
