Prince George set for Balmoral break

accreditation

Prince George will reportedly go on his first holiday later this month.

The British royal baby was born just over two weeks ago and his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will take him to Queen Elizabeth II's estate in Balmoral, Scotland.

Royal correspondent Robert Jobson told Now magazine, "After being in the spotlight, they'll be looking forward to this period of relaxation."

He said the royal couple are expected to enjoy time away to relax, while "fishing and having barbecues". Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana, apparently used to take him to a hotel swimming pool close by, so he could do the same for his son.

Robert added, "Wills will carry little George in a papoose [baby carrier] and take him walking through the Highlands. The family will go fishing and have barbecues by the river.

"There's also a little hotel off-site with a swimming pool Princess Diana took her boys to, so George may even take his first swim."

Kate has been staying at her parent's home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, since George's birth, while William had to return to work as an RAF search-and-rescue pilot this week.

While this will be a chance for father and son to be reunited, it could also give great-grandfather Prince Philip the opportunity to meet the tot for the first time.
