Monaco's Princess Charlene did a charity swim last Sunday.
The former Olympic swimmer went swimming in Saint-Geours-de-Maremne, France, in a bid to help teach around 150 children to swim and make them aware of the dangers of the sea in an event organised by club Inshore Rescue Capbreton.
Charlene's dedication to the sport can be seen through her own charity, The Princess Charlene Foundation, which she hopes will "save lives" by "reinforcing the awareness of water safety".
One her website she wrote, "We are all aware of horrible stories about small children drowning because they could not swim. Teaching them how to swim could save their lives, and the importance and awareness will help them to feel more comfortable and confident in all aquatic areas as well.
"My foundation is about children who can become great adults, if we collectively show them the way forward with strong sport values and solidarity, then together we can ensure that these young athletes get the opportunity to succeed."
