Julia Caples ? who’s mom to Alexi (11) and Ariel (24) ? has been hunting for willing donors for more than 30 years because she believes feeding off other people keeps her looking young and feeling healthy.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said, "When I feed off of a person and drink their blood, I feel stronger and healthier. I know scientifically there's not a lot [of] nutrition in blood, but maybe there's some value we haven't discovered yet."
The 45-year-old mother ? who claims she's a real-life vampire ? carefully cuts open her willing victims with a pagan-like sterilised knife that she designed herself.
Julia ? who’s from Pennsylvania ? admits her obsession with gulping down blood began in her teenage years when she locked lips with her first crush and accidentally nipped his lip.
She explained, "It was my natural instinct and I liked the taste; I just got an urge and can't really explain it. It's never gone away."
