Money flew around in Zedelgem, northwest Belgium, after it was accidentally released from a safe while a gang of robbers was being chased by police.
But the authorities are asking for the money to be returned to them in a postbox on the edge of town after they only recovered half the cash.
One woman was seen sweeping up money with a broom.
