The longtime friends and former lovers have been spotted together several times since Drake professed his love for the Umbrella singer onstage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

As the rapper presented her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, he said, "She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her even though she's younger than me. She's a living, breathing legend in our industry."

Rihanna and Drake were then spotted at New York hotspot Up & Down after the Madison Square Garden ceremony, and enjoyed dinner together in the city on Monday. She accompanied him to Miami, and on Tuesday the couple was photographed dancing together at E11EVEN nightclub, where they reportedly made no secret of their affection for one another.

One onlooker told E! News the stars "had plenty of one-on-one intimate conversations and there was plenty of PDA (public displays of affection)".
