Diaan shared the news on social media site Facebook yesterday morning. “The car has been a part of our lives for 14 years, like a family member,” she wrote. “It’s a classic car and we loved it very much. If you see it please send me a message.”

Her friend, Sink actress Anel Alexander, reacted to the news with shock. “Noooo, that car was synonymous with you guys!” she wrote on Facebook.

Jody reported the car stolen and police are not hopeful that the car will be found as cars like these are common amongst vehicle thieves.

Jody said that they are offering a reward of R20 000 to anyone who can help them track the car down.

But this isn’t first time that the couple have been directly affected by crime. Diaan has experienced two break-ins in Cape Town since her and her children, Olivia Rose (6) and Thomas (3), relocated there two months ago.

They are staying with a friend in Mowbray until Jody joins them next month. He is still living in Johannesburg due to filming commitments on the television series Hard Copy.

In 2014 their home in Blairgowrie in Johannesburg was also broken into.
