Springbok Francois Hougaard and his girlfriend of the past year, Annebell van Heerden, have split up.
Yesterday Annebell (23) shared a photo of herself in shorts and a bikini top on Instagram and wrote that she was relaxing beside a swimming pool. Using a hashtag, she wrote: (#bestthingaboutabreakupisthebodythatfollows)It's never easy to say goodbye ? Missing my beautiful lady @annebellvheerden

She confirmed that she and Hougie have broken up. “No, nothing went wrong. It’s just circumstances,” she told YOU. She wouldn’t say more about the “circumstances”. She said she and Hougie (28), had been together for about 14 months.

They met through mutual friends at a restaurant in Pretoria last year. They began to date in August last year and were regularly lovey-dovey on social media.

So far Francois hasn’t announced on social media that he’s single. A week ago the couple shared a photo of themselves together on Instagram.

On 1 September Annebell shared a video of them together during some of their most special moments to celebrate their year together.
