Schalk Burger’s son starts school in Japan


Talk about a proud mom! Ace rugby star Schalk Burger’s eldest son and namesake started school yesterday and him mom, Michele, couldn’t wait to share pictures of the little guy’s first school day in Japan on Instagram.

Schalk Snr, who moved to Japan a month ago with his family, will play rugby for the club Suntory Sungoliath for the next two years. Michele shared a picture of two-year-old Schalk Jnr after fetching him from school after his first school day.  “He must have enjoyed himself or he was relieved to see his mom again,” Michele wrote with the picture of the smiling toddler, who’s the spitting image of his dad. His younger brother Nicol is now five months old.

Earlier in the day Michele posted a picture of little Schalk’s school report from his Japanese teacher and it seems the youngster has settled down easily in his foreign school. See the pictures here:
