Shane Warne took to Twitter yesterday to assure the world rumours Liz called off their two-year engagement “r absolute rubbish”.
“Yes, we’re sorting through some (private) issues. But we’re not throwing in the towel yet,” the former Aussie cricketer tweeted.
The rumours that have Shane (44) hot under the collar appeared in a British paper, which reported actress and model Liz (48) is suspicious about the cosy relationship Shane shares with ex-wife Simone Callahan.
A source told The Sun newspaper, “Liz found out he had been over at Simone’s house a lot. She seemed to get the idea that something more than friendship was going on.”
Shane and Simone’s 10-year marriage ended in 2005 after Shane was unfaithful with a 25-year-old student.
Shane now lives in the UK with Liz, but returns to Australia regularly to visit Simone and their three children, Brooke, Summer and Jackson.
“Friends always thought that Liz would be a flash in the pan and that Shane would go back to Simone and the kids eventually. In the past few months they’ve grown close again,” said the source.
“He’s never made any secret of the fact that he’ll always love Simone and be a part of her life.”
