The socialite and entrepreneur is back in Los Angeles after she was bound, gagged and held at gunpoint in a Paris apartment as thieves grabbed jewellery and cellphones in the early hours on Monday, but her show will not go on - for the time being.

"Kim's well-being is our core focus right now," a spokesperson for E! - the network behind Keeping Up With the Kardashians - says. "No decision has been made as to when production will resume."

Meanwhile, a source close to Kim tells news show Entertainment Tonight the reality TV star is still very shaken up by her scary ordeal.

"This really shook her and gave her a major reality check," the insider says. "She still gets emotional thinking about the incident."

Kim has cancelled a number of commitments as she attempts to get her life back on track following the robbery, and on Wednesday, she axed a makeup class appearance in Dubai, which was scheduled for next week.

"She needs a break from everything," the source says. "Working and posting anything on social media is the last thing on her mind right now."

Meanwhile, the reality TV star and her husband Kanye West are seriously addressing their security in the wake of the gunpoint robbery. Kim was left alone in her apartment when the thieves, dressed as French police officers, struck. Her number one bodyguard was looking after her sister Kourtney elsewhere in Paris at the time of the incident.
