Lauren Silverman isn't putting Simon Cowell under pressure to get married.
The New York socialite, who’s expecting a baby boy with the X Factor boss in February, claims she has no idea whether they’ll tie the knot in the near future even though Simon has hinted they’ll marry before their first child arrives.
Asked if wedding bells are in their future, the brunette beauty ? who divorced her husband of nine years, Andrew Silverman, in August and shares custody of their son, Adam (7) ? told gossip website TMZ.com, "I don't know; you'll have to ask him."
Simon (53) hinted last week he was planning to marry his 36-year-old girlfriend when he said he "wouldn't expect Lauren to be a single mother".
And he reiterated his intentions to E! News in Los Angeles yesterday, saying, "Obviously, I would never expect [Lauren] to bring a baby up without a proper father."
He also confirmed it would be something they would do before the birth of their son.
And added, "It definitely has changed me without a shadow of doubt because I never thought I would be a dad."
Simon also said the couple haven't yet decided whether they’ll film the birth of their baby and is planning to leave the decision up to Lauren.
