Smoker uses head cage to quit habit

accreditation

A Turkish man is living with a cage around his head in a bid to quit smoking.

Ibrahim Yücel has taken drastic steps in a bid to ditch his two-packet-a-day habit, which has gone on for 26 years, by constructing a cage out of 40 metres of copper wire, Turkish newspaper Hürriyet Daily News reports.

The device took him one month to complete and has two locks, to which only his wife and 14-year-old daughter have keys.

Yücel is desperate to quit after recently losing his father to lung cancer.
