Sofia Vergara might remarry in the future because she “believes in love”. The 42-year-old actress is currently in a relationship with Magic Mike star, Joe Manganiello. She was married once before to Joe Gonzalez, ending their two-year union in 1993. But Sofia is open to tying the knot again in the future.
'I got married 24 years ago, so it would be a lot of fun to do it again'
“Yeah, of course [I’m open to remarrying],” she told Extra. “I mean, I believe in love. I believe in being happy. I got married 24 years ago, so it would be a lot of fun to do it again."
Sofia appears in television commercials for St. Jude’s Thanks and Giving campaign, a charity effort which raises money to aid ailing children.
The Modern Family star was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2000 and subsequently had the gland removed, so she is very empathetic toward people dealing with terminal illness.
"It's important because I'm a mother and also I had cancer. It changed the way I saw that sickness… you realise how you're nothing,” the stunning brunette explained. “One day you have health and then if you don't, even if you have money, fame, if you don't have the health to go with it, it's nothing."
Colombian-born Sofia has a lot to celebrate currently, as the star recently announced she has obtained US citizenship and she is the highest earning Latina actress in entertainment.
She is also starring alongside Academy Award-winning thespian Reese Witherspoon in their forthcoming movie, Don’t Mess with Texas.
Sofia found it delightful to work with Reese in the action comedy, which is released next year.
"I fell in love with her. I was scared at the beginning because I didn't really know her, but we got along great,” Sofia gushed. “She's a great actress and deserves [an Oscar] again."
