Taylor Swift agrees to a date with Harry Styles!

Taylor Swift has reportedly agreed to have a talk with Harry Styles over New Year. The former couple briefly dated at the end of 2012, going their separate ways in January 2013. Taylor's new record 1989 includes a song called Out of the Woods, which is thought to be about Harry, and there are claims the pair are back in touch. It seems their reunion is tentative though, with Taylor worried about the future.

'None of her friends are shocked by the reunion - Taylor never got over him'

"She's not angry any more, but there's a huge part of her that thinks she should be smart and keep away from him," a source told British magazine Heat.

"That's why she held off seeing him for so long. She's scared he'll break her heart again. That's why she's trying to take things slowly and see how serious he is about this. They're both going to be on the East Coast for New Year's Eve, hosting at Ryan Seacrest's telecast, so Taylor's said they can talk properly then. None of her friends are shocked by the reunion - Taylor never got over him."

One Direction recorded vocals for Sir Bob Geldof's new Band Aid song Do They Know It's Christmas? earlier this month. Apparently while he was in the studio, he was chatting about some texts he'd received from Taylor and telling people how great he thinks she looks at the moment. It seems the feeling is mutual.

"Harry seems to have a hold over Taylor," the insider said.

However, the One Direction star poured cold water on reports he had sent Taylor 1989 red roses to celebrate her new record.

"I know about the rumour. I don’t know anything about the roses. I think it might have been someone else and I may have falsely... apparently - I get credit for it," he laughed to Ellen DeGeneres last week.
