The Château Miraval: Inside Brad and Angelina's spectacular wedding venue

The ceremony may have been understated, but the venue certainly wasn't! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were reportedly married on Saturday at The Château Miraval, a wine estate they own in Le Val, southeastern France.

Brad and Ange rented the property in 2008, just before the birth of their twins Vivienne and Knox (6), and have since bought the property. According to TIME, the couple "haven't looked back, spending their summers nestled in the 1000-acre estate."

Even with their massive brood, the couple certainly has enough space at Miraval -- the gorgeous house boasts 35-bedrooms. The sprawling gardens feature a moat, fountains, ancient aqueducts, a pond, a chapel, and of course a vineyard, where Brad and Angelina grow the grapes for their very own wine -- Côtes de Provence Rosé Miraval.

The Chateau has a rich history. According to its website, the property was once home to the French court and was named in the Registry of Noble Houses in the 14th century.

In 1970, the 35-bedroom estate was bought by composer Jacques Loussier who turned it into a recording studio, where the likes of Sting, The Cranberries and Pink Floyd have since recorded.

According to the site, Brangelina have tried to stay true to the spirit of Miraval, and “have given impetus to the heart of the estate as a place dedicated to the arts — music, cinema, theatre, local food and fine wine.”
