A young woman in Russia is auctioning off her virginity online so that she can afford to study medicine overseas. The 20-year-old’s, who is known only as Adriana, offer is posted on a website which markets escorts. She is offering her virginity to the highest bidder and bidding starts at R3,1 million.

Her parents are apparently no aware of her decision, but her bosom buddy, who is known online as Lolita, is also offering her virginity to the highest bidder for a hefty sum.
There are no bursaries available in Russia her parents are not in a financial position to pay for her studies, says Adriana. She says that she will explain her decision to them with love should they find out.
"I am also an independent woman and can do just what I want. Believe me, I have thought long and hard to make this decision.”
She also says she doesn’t want to give her virginity to someone who will simply break her heart afterwards. To her, using the money for her studies is a smarter decision.
