His next role couldn’t be further from the supervillian Bane in The Dark Knight rises – sexy British actor Tom Hardy will star as Sir Elton John in the biopic “Rocketman”.
The film revolves around singer-songwriter Elton John’s life and career. “Much like the man himself, Rocketman is a larger-than-life movie musical spectacle that tells the story of a child prodigy turned music legend,” the film’s production team says.
Elton is very much involved in the making of his biopic. He is one of the film’s executive producers. The score will include Elton’s iconic hits that he will re-record especially for the silver screen.
Filming for Rocketman will only begin in 2014. We can’t wait to see if Tom will be able to pull of the coloured glasses and colourful suits.
