Global cooking sensation, the infamously foul-mouthed Gordon Ramsay has teamed up with local star Nataniël in a new Checkers advert.
There was definite tension when these two big personalities had to work together in one kitchen. “He’s not used to sharing his spotlight and neither am I,” says Nataniël, who says he was just there “to make sure Gordon doesn’t swear so much”.
“We were like two circus lions, not sure who was going to jump through the hoop and who was going to eat the other one.”
While there was pressure in the kitchen, the two got on well behind the scenes.
Gordon seems to struggle saying Nataniël’s name, but he says working with the SA entertainer was great. “He’s bloody hilarious,” Gordon says.
“He’s very funny, quirky. He’s got that sort of, individual look about him,” he adds with a twinkle in his eye.
