Paul Walker’s loved ones have paid tribute to the late actor on his birthday.
The Fast and the Furious star died in a car crash on November 30, 2013.
'This day is a bittersweet one'
He would have been 41 years old on September 12 and in honour of his birthday Paul’s relatives posted touching messages via social media.
“This day is a bittersweet one. Today I’m reminded how much I miss you,” the actor’s 28-year-old brother Cody Walker wrote on Facebook.
“But at the same time, this day is also a reminder of how many years of memories, adventures, lessons and love I was lucky enough to share with you. Today is a celebration of all of those years.” Cody went on to speak about how his brother Paul lives on.
The actor’s presence is still felt by his sibling in daily life.
“I always knew you were a pretty awesome brother, but these last months have shown me how awesome of an example you were for the entire world,” Cody said. “Thank you for always and for continuing to be the best role model a brother could ask for. Happy Birthday, bro. I love and miss you.”
Paul is survived by his teenage daughter Meadow, who also honoured her father’s memory on Friday.
The 15-year-old posted a vintage photo of Paul holding her when she was a baby, writing in the caption: “Happy birthday, I love you”.
Paul was filming Fast & Furious 7 just before he died and his brothers, Cody and Caleb, took on the late actor’s role to fill in scenes that still needed to be shot after his passing.
Fast & Furious 7, which also stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez, will be released in 2015.
